Join us on a Trip to Haiti

Dear Friends,

I want to cordially invite you to come to Haiti with us on a short, but amazing journey! This is a journey that will take you into the lives of the poor in the villages and the children in our orphanage. You will get to know them. You will visit children in Maranatha Orphanage and School and spend time with them. You will visit people in villages that live very differently than you and see the friendliness of our friends who teach us that the greatest poverty is the poverty of a life without love. They have very little, but give so much in return and this is just one of the many things they teach us. Our children in Maranatha Orphanage and School teach us lessons about gratitude, happiness in the midst of want, humility and patience. Our friends in the villages teach us that people are more important than material possessions. We would like you to join us, to give you something special in your life, and to help our people in Haiti with most of all friendship, and with the necessities of life. You will receive much in return. We will attempt to do this all in about a week. We plan to do the following on the trip:

1. Visit and play with our children in Maranatha Orphanage and School.
2. Live with Haitians who will cook for us and be with us, you will get to know them.
3. Visit the poor in other villages and talk with them and be with them.
4. Distribute food in several very poor places.
5. Really get an inside view of the Haitian spirit, the Haitian struggle, and how they live.
6. Visit the markets and buy food.
7. Dance and play in the villages and streets with Haitians.
8. Visit the beach (Most likely the last day).

If you are interested in attending, we encourage you to act fast and start raising support. We really struggled with how to approach the fee for the trip. Our desire is to give you something very special. We really want you to go if it is your desire and money should not be an issue. Somehow, we will help you make a way if money is a problem, but we do expect you to work hard at raising support, since it is your trip. The cost is $1,800 per person for 7 days. This cost includes 1) plane fare, 2) food, 3) lodging, 4) traveling expenses, 5) cost for food distributed to the poor, 6) money distributed to the poor, 7) beach trip, and a small donation to Maranatha Orphanage and School with what is left over.

Upcoming trip dates are listed below. If none of these dates work for you and you would like to go at a different time with a group, I can possibly set it up. In order to secure a place on the trip we need a deposit made out to "Life For The World, Inc." for $1,000 at least 4 weeks before the trip date. Please mail all deposits to the address below or go to our website and make it electronically. We will only take up to 12 people on each trip.You may leave early if you cannot stay the entire time. We are flexible and one of our people will take you to the airport the day you need to leave.

Trip 1: Cost-$1,800 (7 days) Tuesday August 14-Tuesday August 21

Trip 2: Cost-$1,800 (7 days) - Thursday August 30-Wednesday September 5 ( Dr. Chris McIntyre  will be going with a medical team.)

Trip 3: Cost-$1,800 (7 days) Monday November 5 - Monday November 12

Need deposit of $1,000 by September 1st.
