On June 25th, over 200 supporters will gather at Brooklyn’s Synergy Art Gallery to view over 200 masterpieces created by the children of Maranatha School and Orphanage still ravaged by the devastation of Haiti. The occasion is the first in the event series called Cocktails and Canvases that seeks to organize young urbanites and professionals for a cause presented by Ms. Phia Presents..., a premier special events firm in New York City.
In addition to the exhibit and the auction there will also be special guests, live music from AFRAZZ Haitian Jazz band and Dj CEO, giveaways and refreshments. Advanced tickets are available at www.cocktailsandcanvases.eventbrite.comfor $20.00 or they can be purchased at the door for $25.00 with a portion of the proceeds going to the support of the Marantha School and Orphanage.

Under the WMC umbrella, Miami Assists in part with the Haitian Heritage Museum, CLOAK INC and DJ’s For Haiti banded together to bring "Dance for Haiti," an event where all proceeds went to benefit two nonprofit organizations doing work on the ground in Haiti. Proceeds of the event will go to the following nonprofit organizations: AYIKODANS and LIFE FOR THE WORLD.

An auction and art show was on display at the Rogue Space Gallery with all proceeds going directly to rebuilding the Maranatha Orphanage and School. The artwork on display was all original pieces created by the children of the orphanage.
